Our Vision

Meder & Partner Aerospace KG, based in Kufstein, specializes in the design, manufacture, and testing of experimental aircraft on a scale of up to 1:1. The company uses electric propulsion systems and storage media such as accumulators and pressurized hydrogen tanks. The EVTOL Silhouette project involved the design of an electrically powered, two-seater flying wing, a demonstrator of which (scale 1:2) was presented at AERO Friedrichshafen in 2022.

As part of the FFG Flylong project, led by Meder & Partner (Deep Blue Aviation), another two-seater flying wing concept with fuel cell propulsion was developed in cooperation with Infineon AG and AVL List GmbH.

The ongoing HyDroneRec project is pursuing the development of an autonomously flying blended wing body drone with hydrogen propulsion and long flight duration. The drone has already been approved by Austro Control in the Specific category, and the installation of the fuel cell drive is imminent.

Several prototypes have already been tested, such as the Flying Wing MX 18 and MX 22 Silhouette in various scales, as well as the Hysail 350 drone in 1:8 and 1:1 scales.

The MPA has project-relevant infrastructure at its disposal, including large-format 3D printers for fuselage and wing components and a laser cutter for precision manufacturing.

The facilities are complemented by a workshop, a 140 m² test laboratory, storage areas, and meeting rooms. This infrastructure forms an important basis for the development and testing of innovative aviation technologies. The projects demonstrate the high level of innovation and practical development environment at MPA in the field of sustainable, unmanned aviation systems.
